Specifications & performance
Claris publishes specific server requirements for FileMaker. Many hosts ignore them. Every Soliant.cloud instance ships with:
- Dedicated vCPUs on current-generation AWS infrastructure - never oversubscribed across tenants like budget VPS hosting
- Scalable infrastructure to fit any application. Scale up or down as needed to meet capacity requirements.
- Dedicated database volume - all-SSD EBS, sized to your data and expandable on demand from the client portal
- SSL certificate installed and auto-renewed on every instance
What’s included in maintenance
Maintenance isn’t a checkbox - it’s real-time monitoring, automated updates, and a team that can access your environment at any time:
- Datadog observability on every instance
- Automated deployment of FileMaker Server
- SSL certificates installed and renewed by default
- Self-service portal with instant backup downloads
- Secure FTP access to live hosted files
- Access to 200+ AWS service integrations
One-time setup fee
The setup fee isn’t just “install FileMaker on a server.” It covers a complete AWS infrastructure stand-up, sized to your solution and architected to AWS standards from day one:
- Your own private AWS account, provisioned for you alone - not a shared VPC carved out of someone else's account
- Network, IAM, security groups, encryption-at-rest, and backup all configured to the AWS Well-Architected Framework
- Blast-radius isolation - a misconfiguration, runaway cost, or security event in another client's environment cannot reach yours
- FileMaker Server installed, licensed, and configured to Claris specifications
- SnapBack and Datadog observability wired in before handoff
Why this matters: most FileMaker hosts put many clients into a single shared AWS account, separated only by VPC subnet. That lowers their cost - and concentrates everyone’s risk. We don’t share accounts. Your environment, your account, your perimeter.
